The celebrities were out in force last night at what was undoubtedly one of the most star studded events Australia has ever seen – the opening of The Star's new Marquee nightclub in Sydney.
And we're not talking your regular run-of-the-mill soapie stars and footy players that we get at local events – we're talking proper celebs like will.i.am, Joe Jonas, Paris Hilton, Nick Lachey, Minka Kelly, Slash, Mel B, Ashlee Simpson, Twilight's Kellan Lutz and his Aussie girlfriend Sharni Vinson.

The party was DJ'd by Paris Hilton's rumoured boyfriend Afrojack and Red Foo from LMFAO. Paris herself has been spotted out and about posing for photos in Bondi yesterday.
Ashlee Simpson undoubtedly won the red carpet in this stunning snake print Roberto Cavalli dress.
Marquee is a brand new club at The Star casino on Sydney Harbour and it's no wonder they've been able to spend all this money and get all these A list guests – it's being run by Tao Group, who own and run huge celebrity nightclubs in New York and Las Vegas.

The new venue is 20,000 square feet and even has it's own VIP entrance for easy access from street level.
The new nightclub has already caused controversy last night after another prominent Sydney nightclub – Hugos – busted Marquee promoters in their club trying to spruik their new club. They were soon ejected.

Will Jessica's nephew Bronx have a boy or girl cousin to hang out with, we wonder? The Simpson clan will know next week!
31 year old Jessica, who was spotted leaving a Manhatton hotel with Ashlee and Bronx this week, admitted that they'll be getting the news of the sex of their baby on Monday.
"I'm so excited!" she gushed. "We have a couple names picked out for [if it's a boy or a girl], but we're going to keep that private.”
So why no surprise?
"I like to plan things out," Simpson tol Us. "It'll be good to know what colors to make the nursery. I'm obsessed with thinking about what it's going to look like."

“Musician dating model” is hardly a breaking news headline, but it is good to see that Pete Wentz is moving on. The Fall Out Boy bass player split up with wife Ashlee Simpson in february and is now dating model Meagan Camper.
“They're dating but taking things slow," a source told People.
Pete and Ashlee are still in the midst of getting a divorce, and have a son together, Bronx Mowgli.
Wentz was reportedly nervous about bringing a new woman into Bronx's life, but he and Meagan have now met.... Read More!

After two and a half years of marriage, Ashlee Simpson has filed for divorce from her husband, Pete Wentz.
Across the seas in London, Sienna Miller and Jude Law have called it quits, this time for good.
And if that's not enough sadness before Valentine's Day, Katy Perry and Russell Brand are in therapy!
