Mel has some experience with the format competing in the US version where she and dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy made it all the way to the final.
So expect some frank and candid analysis from the scary one.
The former Spice Girl who is having an extended stay in Australia with her family scored the gig a head of our very own Fifi Box and Natalie Bassingthwaighte.
Speaking with the Daily Telegraph the X Factor judge said about her move to Australia "I didn't know if packing up and moving here would work so I tested the waters -- and luckily it worked out really well. The kids love it here, it's a similar lifestyle to LA but it's somewhat better." She even hinted that she may get a bit of a Spice Girls reunion going saying “I feel like it's going to be my Aussie, Sydney year. I also hope to get my girls out here. Emma and Victoria have new babies. I've been telling them how fabulous it is out here."
She sure knows how to get us Aussie on side.

Is Mel B moving to Australia permanently?
The British pop star and X-Factor judge has recently put her Tarzana home up for sale for around $3.5 million, which should be just enough for a bed sit in Sydney.
The five bedroom ‘French’ style house has five bedrooms, eight bathrooms (how many do you need), a massive kitchen, gym, movie theatre, swimming pool and cabana. Plus out the back a state of the art recording studio.
The sale has sparked rumours that the former Spice Girl and husband Stephen Belafonte are looking to move themselves and their three children to Australia permanently.

It looks like there's soon to be another baby Spice to add to the clan...Mel B is expecting her third child!
It will be Mel's first child with hubby Stephen Belafonte, but she also has two girls - Phoenix Chi, 12, from her first marriage to dancer Jimmy Gulzar, and Angel, 3, with Eddie Murphy.
Mel and Stephen say they are both really excited. Mel says 'I promptly got a bottle of Cristal champagne and said "Baby, enjoy this because you can't drink anymore!"'
Fellow Spice Girls Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton are also pregnant...we wonder if they'll be another mini girl band soon!?
