America's Kath and Kim Sneak Peek Today Network 3 July, 2008 - 4:01 PM

We brought you the first photos of the American version of Kath and Kim, and now we have a sneak peek at the NBC produced video! Kath will be played by Molly Shannon and Selma Blair takes the role of Kim. They certainly have got the daggy fashions right, but what do you think about the actresses measure up to their Aussie counterparts? We're not so sure.

  its just not the same, americans always steal everyone elses stuff and try to yankinise it but this one just wont work, american kimmy is a slut and what are they going to sound like? are they going to livein a trailer park or what? i reckon it wont have the same humorous feel ours do either

  I was PISSED when I heard that Kath and Kim were to be sold to America.

  Think of all the shows that the US already pump out each and every year, and how much air play they get on our TV screens compared with our few Aussie shows.

  Kath and Kim is UNIQUELY Australian, the yanks will never pull it off, no matter how hard they try. Whomever tried to "franchise," the show overseas is a total sell out!

  The actors who played Kath and Kim in the aussie version were the same age where as the american ones are the same as the charaters. Guys will love looking at kims bum crack where we all laughed at our kims crack. It won't be as good which is a big shame because i loved our version.

  This is just a joke - it's like the Office- the Brittish & Aussie's know how to make shows funny - American's have no idea. I won't be watching it.
