Nicole And Keith Back Home For Easter Holiday Posted by ScandalAnt 10 April, 2009 - 4:12 PM
Star couple Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, along with nine-month-old baby Sunday and a nanny, arrived back home in Australia this morning for an Easter Break.Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban emerged in the international arrivals hall at Sydney Airport early this morning, without their nine-month-old baby Sunday, who is believed to have traveled in the care of a nanny.
The star couple and their baby, are expected to spend a family Easter long weekend at their $6.5 million, 45ha Southern Highlands mansion, ‘Bunya Hill’ in the small town of Sutton Forest.
Neighbours say there’s been plenty of tradesmen, building and gardening action at the ranch, with multimillion-dollar renovations being overseen by Adelaide designer Chris Norris.
Among the luxury add-ons to soon feature in the complex is an 18m swimming pool, gymnasium, full-sized tennis court, pergola and a grassy mound for privacy from a nearby roadway.
ScandalAnt spies say there are rumours Nicole only bought the property for her sister, Antonia, to do some horse riding on, so star of Baz Luhrmann's Australia may not even be heading down to the property with her country singer husband and their baby with the hippie name.
If they do settle somewhere on the south coast, you might be able to locate them by listening out for the popping open of champers, after Urban this week claimed his first No 1 album on the US pop chart with Defying Gravity.
The album, the fifth of his career, sold 171,525 copies in its first six days of release, according to Capitol Records Nashville, edging out Prince, with sold 168,420 copies of his triple-CD package, LotusFlow3r.
“It's an incredible feeling to have a No. 1 record,” Urban, who begins a world tour in Connecticut on May 7, says in a statement.
“But equally moving is knowing that this particular record, that comes from such a joyous, loving and hopeful place, is connecting with so many people.”
Urban, 41, born in New Zealand but raised in Australia, has been married to actress Nicole Kidman since 2006, their marriage facing an early test when he went into rehab for three months to deal with unspecified drug problems.
Kidman may be relieved to be home again, as an overseas media backlash continues to spook her, with one German media outlet featuring her alongside Daryl Hannah in a report headlined “Plastic isn't always fantastic - celeb surgery gone wrong”.
“Actress Nicole Kidman also now suffers from a ‘trout pout’ and has the face of a doll at 41,” the reports says.
Do you think Keith and Nicole are being a little extravagant at a difficult time for most Australians, if indeed it is true that their new South Coast mansion is just for Antonia to do some hore riding on? Is the media backlash on Nicole over the top or long overdue?
