Vanessa Hudgens looking homeless for her new movie role

(Photo: Splash)

We never thought we'd see Vanessa Hudgens looking anything less than perfect, so these photos have shocked us!

She has been snapped sporting a cropped bowl cut, lip and eyebrow piercings, neck tattoos and it looks like she's packed on a few kilos too.

The transformation is for her new movie “Gimme Shelter” in which she plays a homeless person. Vanessa admits she’s loved becoming a “serious actor”.

She’s playing a girl who gets kicked out of home after falling pregnant and decides to keep the baby...slightly different to the story behind High School Musical.

What do you think of her new look? Do you think she can pull off the role?
