Rihanna is at the centre of scandal yet again, this time for her new video 'Man Down'.

Right from the get go the music video is extremely confronting, beginning with her shooting a man in broad daylight… after he abused her.

Before the murder, the clip is mostly upbeat with Rihanna happily hanging out in the Caribbean, where she’s originally from, but the lyrics to the song aren’t hiding anything…

If that wasn’t enough… Rihanna also tweeted saying that the video “has a very strong underlying message for girls like me.”

The video has already attracted disapproval from advocacy groups including the Parents Television Council for its violent imagery.

  It shore shod be band you dont see males shooting woman in video clips that dose not mean its ok for her getaway withe it. can i make a song for men and shoot rihanna in i please. if this makes it in top ten please get her to be in a video clip withe me 2 day fm.

  Sorry, I Don't like it... It's to me, not even shocking. It's a cheap attempt at trying to shock people... Which for this. it's not right, so many girls get raped. and what you are sending out a message, that it's okay to retaliate and kill them? hrm... I think she wants it to get banned just like S&M Did because she thinks it will cause controversy meaning it will go to no.1 . but the song is crap.. so making a video like this, just turns me off it. It's just silly. and cheap. At least if your trying to out do other artists AKA GaGa. do it properly? and send out a good message... kthanks!
