Michael Jackson Dead At 50 Entertainment Team 26 June, 2009 - 7:35 AM

The Jackson family issued the following statement to express their loss:

In one of the darkest moments of our lives we find it hard to find the words appropriate to this sudden tragedy we all had to encounter. Our beloved son, brother and father of three children has gone so unexpectedly, in such a tragic way and much too soon. It leaves us, his family, speechless and devastated to a point, where communication with the outside world seems almost impossible at times.

We miss Michael endlessly, our pain cannot be described in words. But Michael would not want us to give up now. So we want to thank all of his faithful supporters and loyal fans worldwide, you – who Michael loved so much. Please do not despair, because Michael will continue to live on in each and every one of you. Continue to spread his message, because that is what he would want you to do. Carry on, so his legacy will live forever.

In addition, Joseph Jackson wishes to personally convey: "My grandchildren are deeply moved by all the love and support you have shown for them and their father, Michael Jackson.

Through city and law enforcement sources, The Los Angeles Times has reported that Michael Jackson was pronounced dead by doctors (3:15PM LA time)

Apparently Michael has been working himself to exhaustion training for his upcoming tour.

He suffered a cardiac arrest on Thursday afternoon (American time) and paramedics were unable to revive him. Reports suggest that Jackson had no pulse when the paramedics arrived and they never got a pulse back.

As the photo above shows,  he was taken to the UCLA Medical Centre by the LA paramedics. You can see that a large team had assembled to try and revive him, but sadly they were unable to do so.

Medical teams apparently pronounced Michael Jackson dead shortly after this picture was taken.

Family members including La Toya and mother Katherine Jackson arrived shortly afterwards. See pictures of his family arriving at the hospital at x17online.com.

Michael leaves behind three children; Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.

He is the undisputed King of pop with 13 number one hits during his solo career.

  He was a rock in my life with his music... happy, sad, depressing and those times when I just partied to his music.

  A legend is gone and will be missed greatly. He has touched my life and many others. I will miss him.

  I like Michael Jackson, but I don't think he is dead. He has prob gone into hiding because he only agree'd to do a curtain amount of concerts and now 50 have been made. Think about it. It could be true.

  This is just so sad. I have been a Michael Jackson fan for a long long time and stuck with him through thick and thin. I am absolutely heartbroken by this loss. My thoughts are with his 3 children.
