There has been a huge back lash against Mel Gibson since the release of his recorded fights with his ex, Oksana Grigorieva, but is it time to forgive him and move on? Robert Downey Jr., who credits Mel with helping him get sober, is telling Hollywood to give the Aussie actor a second chance.

During his speech at an event in Beverlly Hills to honour his life’s work, Robert got up on stage and hugged Mel saying “Unless you are without sin- and if you are, you are in the wrong f-ing industry... He's a good dude with a good heart.”
