I realised about a month ago that our last show of the year, would coincide with the third anniversary of my very public gay marriage to Jason.
 
What could I do to celebrate the best day of my life I thought ?
 
After a lot of thinking I contacted Erina from Australian Idol and asked her if she could teach me to sing... and write a love song for Jason that I could perform to him on air.
 
Since then I have collaborated with the wonderful Erina...and come up with the track " THANK GOD THAT YOU'RE HERE "
 
I know I don't have a great singing voice, but I hope my love for Jason shined through the less than perfect pitch !
 
I was so nervous when it came to performing in front of Jason and 2 DAYFM's loyal istners, but in the end I hope people understood where I was coming from.
 
I was so hard keeping all this stuff secret from Jason, but it was definately worth it !!!

  Jeff what a sweet thought and I think you're very brave. BUT.. I truly nearly split my side laughing. It was a great gesture but please don't sing again!

  That was really sweet and brave of you to write such a lovely song and perform it live!! But.. i have to say, the singing was terrible! i dont want to be mean but it was the worst singing i've heard in my life! But it was really sweet.

  Geoff, I thing what you did was beautiful and Jason is a fool for agreeing with Kyle and bbagging you. A partner should support you and not humiliate you in air
