Cosi has a lot of great tips on health, diet and exercise from his time in the Biggest Loser Whitehouse and he really wants to share them with you!

New helpful hints and tips will be added by Cosi for the next seven weeks so make sure you keep checking in to get yourself fit and fired up ready to conquer any challenge with flying colours!









Here are some Subway Fitness Tips to get you started!

Subway Tips

1. Feeding the family? Try a Subway Fresh Fit meal including a 6 grams of fat or less sub, any sugar free beverage and either a fresh packet of apple slices or 150g vaalia yoghurt.


2. Did you know that Subway has 8 Subs with 6 grams of fat or less. For a healthy choice why not try one of the these yummy combinations, Veggie Delight, Oven Roasted chicken breast or Subway Club.


3. For all those parents out there, Subway Fresh Fit Meals and Subway Fresh Fit for Kids Meals were developed to help adults and kids meet the Dieticians Association of Australia diet recommendations.


4. Want a healthy meal but are on the run? Subway restaurants strive to give consumers low fat and low saturated fat alternatives to the usual high fat, fast-food meal in an effort to help them live fitter lives.



Week 1

1. Water is a major key to weight loss, keep a bottle on your desk, in your car and even next to your bed. And at all times REMEMBER TO DRINK!!!!


2. Moving tea time earlier is an easy way to help lose weight. Try to have tea before 6pm, this'll give your body more time to burn calories before you go to sleep.


3. Fill up those wraps with all things low in calories carrot, cucumber, lettuce and tomato are all low cal super foods. Make smart choices!


4. Weight loss is simple Food in minus calories burnt.. You either eat less or exercise more. Making smart eating choices is the easiest option.


5. No one has time to exercise for an hour a day so eating healthy is the easiest option. Remember, SMART FOOD CHOICES is the key.


Week 2

1. Water is the king No other drink comes close.. Think carefully about what you drink, keeping hydrated gives your body the head start it needs to lose weight and remain healthy.


2. The only thing humans consume with no calories is WATER Why drink anything else??? When getting your meal buys water instead, your body will thank you!!!


3. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!!! Frozen berries defrosted with yoghurt and raw oats is my weapon of choice!!!


4. Eat like a king for breakfast and a peasant for tea Big meals for brekkie but make sure your dinner is something light and healthy Never go to bed on a full stomach


5. Its what you eat after 2pm that hurts your waist line Choose foods with low calories after two and avoid any junk food late in the day..




Week 3

1. Go to bed slightly hungry You'll wake up feeling slimmer!!! Try it ! It really works! Bounce out of bed and then get a big hearty breakfast


2. Vegetables are mans best friend.. NOT DOGS!! Veggies are full of goodness and so low in calories, so you don't exceed your daily intake. They're the perfect addition to any meal.


3. Be different.. Try something you always thought you never liked.. make.. Make your meals in advance.. When you are preparing a healthy dinner, make double and have the left overs for lunch.


4. You don't plan to fail you fail to plan.. Planning your weeks eating is a key to help you avoid binge eating.. Make sure you have healthy food available at all times.


5. Treat your house as a food safe haven No junk food is to live here!!! If its not there YOU cant eat it!!!! If its healthy don't be scared to fork out for it .

Week 4

1. Berries are super foods, high in antioxidants and ultra low in calories they are perfect with yoghurt at work. Raspberries, blue berries, strawberries YUM.


2. Drinking tea is great for your health. Peppermint tea - minus the added sugar- is a great thing to sip on after a meal, plus it's free from all those nasty calories!!!


3. Choose a wrap over sandwiches and rolls, Wraps are great, fill them full of tomatoes, lettuce and carrots- all of which are low in calories but remember, watch the sauce!!


4. You burn 50% more calories if you exercise before breakfast, so set the alarm 30 minutes earlier, get stuck into it and start your day right!!


5. Get yourself a jogging buddy, making a commitment with someone else means you're less likely to get complacent, pull out, and you're more likely to stick with the exercise regimen you've got in place !!!

Week 5

1. Jogging is a great way to burn calories and clear the head How good do you feel after a big jog?? Fantastic. So make no excuses and get to it.


2. I like getting my partner to drive me 7kms away from home, dump me out the car, so then I have to run home. great way of forcing yourself to exercise plus I know how far I've run !!!


3. Getting fit will make you not only look better but its great for clearing your mind Tough days at work can lead to bad food choices.. jog out your frustration instead


4. Buy yourself a steamer.. Steamers are a great simple easy way to cook healthy and delicious veggies.. After all veggies should be the star of all your night time meals..


5. Turkey is great, so high in protein and ultra low in fat.. Get a turkey wrap filled with yummy salads and you're on the way to looking and feeling healthier!!!



Week 6

1. Make veggies the star of your evening meal..I used to make meat the star, a massive steak, big chunk of chicken.. to lose weight try reducing the amount of meat at dinner.


2. In one strawberries and cream lolly there's 45 calories in 100g of lettuce there is only 20!!! Sweets don't fill you up yet are so high in calories..don't do it to yourself


3. Steak can be a MIS STEAK if you have too much for tea...limit yourself to 150 grams of meat per night and Fill the plate with veggies!!!!


4.Throw out those big dinner plates... You actually eat less if you're eating off a smaller plate!! Try it!! Make a promise to yourself right now... NEVER GO BACK FOR SECONDS!!! That means NEVER


5. You can't eat perfect every day of the week treat yourself. Once a week I eat whatever the hell I want.. Just learn to always get back on the horse



Week 7

1. The key to healthy eating is a change in lifestyle, so get the whole family on board to ensure the best weight loss success and maintaining it for the long term.


2. There is nothing more rewarding that watching your kids eat healthy, get them involved in the cooking and they are more likely to learn good habits AND eat the end product.
